Richard has over thirty years of experience in broadcasting and has been a Director for some of the BBC’s most prestigious programmes over the past decade.

Our Year 12 students, together with Year 13 students studying Business Studies and English were given an entertaining and informative illustrated talk covering the development of the BBC and Richards’s personal career path. This included ‘seeing’ Richard in action through the use of a gopro camera following the broadcast of a live programme, seeing how the facebook live team operate, how to cope when things don’t go according to plan and what to consider when thinking about a career in broadcasting. One lucky student was also given the opportunity to give ‘autocue’ a try! Students were then given the opportunity to put their individual questions to Richard.
