The great Reepham sunflower growing competition

sunflowersAt the Easter Egg-stravaganza the Friends of Reepham Primary School launched the first ever Reepham sunflower growing competition!

Sunflowers add colour to our gardens, but also are great for wildlife. Insects like bees and moths will sip nectar from the flowers and in autumn seeds will form providing a perfect feast for birds and small mammals.

For £1 at the Easter Egg-stravaganza, students were able to pot up their container with compost and seeds to take and grow their sunflowers at home.

When your flower is at its tallest take a photo of it, against a tape measure (you can be in it too if you choose!) and get your grown up to send it by email to reephamfriends@gmail.com with your name by Friday 13th September.

So challenge your friends and your family and see who can grow the tallest!

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises ten Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
